Chopta – Tungnath – Chandrashila – Auli Tour (5 Days Itinerary)

Day 1: Dehradun (640 m) → Chopta (2,680 m) – 225 km

Your journey begins with an early morning taxi pickup from Dehradun. The drive passes through Rishikesh and leads towards Devprayag, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers merge to form the holy Ganga. Continue toward Rudraprayag, the confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini, and then Karnaprayag, where Alaknanda meets the Pindar River.
By evening, arrive in Chopta, popular as the Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand, surrounded by lush meadows and cool mountain air.
Overnight stay and dinner at Chopta camp/hotel (as per availability).

Day 2: Chopta → Tungnath (3,680 m) → Chandrashila (4,000 m) Trek

After breakfast, begin the 3.5 km trek from Chopta to Tungnath through rhododendron and pine forests, with views of Chaukhamba and Kedarnath peaks.
Reach the sacred Tungnath Temple, the world’s highest Shiva temple at 3,680 m.
After darshan, continue the 1.5 km trek to Chandrashila Peak, offering stunning 360° Himalayan views — a moment you’ll never forget.
Return to Chopta by evening. Overnight stay and dinner.

Day 3: Chopta → Auli (2,800 m) – 150 km

After breakfast, start your drive toward Auli, the winter jewel of Uttarakhand. In winter, Auli becomes a skiing paradise; in summer, Gorson meadows bloom under the towering presence of Nanda Devi (7,816 m), India’s second-highest peak.
Overnight stay and dinner at Auli hotel/camp.

Day 4: Full-Day Auli Exploration

After breakfast, enjoy a full day exploring the beauty of Auli. Begin with a visit to Hanuman Temple, followed by a scenic cable chair ride.
Explore the Auli Artificial Lake and trek to the mesmerising Gorson Bugyal, known for its panoramic Himalayan views. Mules are also available for those who prefer an easier route.
Overnight stay and dinner at Auli.

Day 5: Auli → Dehradun – 315 km

After breakfast, begin the return journey to Dehradun. Reach by evening with cherished memories of the mountains and the adventures you experienced.
Tour concludes at Dehradun.

We had visited Chardham during 09.05.2025 to 19.05.2025. The entire arrangement was done by Shri Prashant Bhandari ji & his Tour Company. The arrangement was so foolproof that myself and my wife at the age around 58 could glide the entire tour with all sorts of possible comfort in the sense of journey, stay, fooding, mental and logistical support. The Darshan & Pooja in Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath could be accomplished with least inconveniences due to their active support. The car driver Rajendra Dungriyal was mare than a faithful family person. We’re not only delighted, but grateful to Shri Prashant Bhandari, Rajendra Dungriyal and their company/ allies. If possible we’ll repeat this tour and will readily recommend for others.

We are just picked from dehradun airport and dropped down at dehradun airport.Rest everything was looked after by Prashant sir
We are seven members including small children and elderly people,but did not face even little discomfort.
