Kumaon starting from Dehradun 8 Days Itinerary

Day 1 – Dehradun to Nainital (Approx. 320 km / 8–9 hrs)

Your Kumaon journey begins from Dehradun, driving through the winding roads of Uttarakhand via Kashipur–Ramnagar.
After a scenic 320 km ride, you arrive at the beautiful hill station of Nainital (2,084 m), known as the “Lake District of India.”
Explore Naini Lake, Snow View Point, Tiffin Top, and Mall Road. Evening is free for a leisure walk. Overnight stay at Nainital.

Day 2 – Explore Nainital & Nearby Lakes (Approx. 60–70 km)

After breakfast, visit Bhimtal, Sattal, and Naukuchiatal—each famous for serene lakes and pine surroundings.
Later, explore Naina Devi Temple, Cave Garden, and High Altitude Zoo. Enjoy boating at Naini Lake in the evening.
Overnight stay in Nainital.

Day 3 – Nainital to Almora (Approx. 65 km / 2.5 hrs)

Drive to Almora (1,638 m), the cultural heart of Kumaon. Visit Kasardevi Temple, Chitai Golu Devta Temple,
Bright End Corner, and Almora Bazaar—famous for Bal Mithai. Overnight stay at Almora.

Day 4 – Almora to Kausani (Approx. 55 km / 2 hrs)

Proceed to Kausani (1,890 m), known as the “Switzerland of India.” Witness breathtaking Himalayan peaks like
Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Panchachuli. Visit Anashakti Ashram, Rudradhari Falls & Caves, and enjoy a golden sunset.
Overnight stay at Kausani.

Day 5 – Kausani to Binsar (Approx. 50 km / 2 hrs)

Travel to Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary (2,420 m). Explore Zero Point for views of Kedarnath, Shivling, Trishul,
and Nanda Devi. A paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Overnight stay in Binsar.

Day 6 – Binsar to Ranikhet (Approx. 60 km / 2.5 hrs)

Drive to Ranikhet (1,869 m), known for its peaceful environment and military heritage. Visit Jhula Devi Temple,
Chaubatia Gardens, KRC Museum, and enjoy quiet nature walks. Overnight stay in Ranikhet.

Day 7 – Ranikhet to Jim Corbett National Park (Approx. 90 km / 3 hrs)

Descend towards the forests of Jim Corbett National Park. Check into your resort at Ramnagar. Evening free for leisure
or a peaceful riverside walk near the Kosi. Overnight stay near Corbett.

Day 8 – Jungle Safari & Return to Dehradun (Approx. 250 km / 7–8 hrs)

Early morning, enjoy an exciting jungle safari in Corbett—home to elephants, deer, leopards, birds, and the majestic Bengal tiger.
After breakfast, begin your drive back to Dehradun, wrapping up a beautiful and memorable Kumaon journey.
